Nerf Stefans: Tutorial!

Many modders are disastified with normal streamline darts. When used in a heavily modded gun, they seem to swerve and fishtail in flight, resulting in terrible accuracy. Stefans are darts designed for modded Nerf guns, and are very cheap and easy to make. Below are the materials required.

  • 1/2 Backing Foam (I use the Ace Hardware Brand)
  • Scissors or a razor
  • BB's (I use 0.5g)
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Ruler
  • Hair Dryer (not shown)

Now, to get started. Cut multiple 3cm lengths from the foam backing rod. Then, cut half as many 2cm lengths. These  ones will serve as the tips to the darts.

Put all the pieces into the pillow case and heat with the hair dryer until the foam is straight. Don't overheat, or else the foam will shrink and be useless. This is what they should look like when finished:

Now take your hot glue gun and melt a small hole in the front and back of the dart. Don't make it to deep though.

put a BB in the tip of each dart and cover it in hot glue. When this is done, attach the tip to the front of the dart. Note: make sure that the tip is flush with the dart for smooth firing. Let your darts cool for 5 minutes and DONE! Your new darts should be more accurate and powerful then a normal Nerf dart. The only con is you must only use these in blasters with the air restrictors removed. Here's a pic of what they should look like. NOW YOUR DONE!
